Oh, where is my Bible?

the weekend before last, didomi went to upper canada camp.
everything is now a blur. the only thing that really sticks out to me is the fact that i forgot my bible and pens there.
i have to say, when i got home, i didnt realize it was missing until... the monday or tuesday, and i think it's because i realized my pens were missing, not my bible.
although i am ashamed to say this, i am not hesitant, because i really have come to realize where my priorities are, and also, it has made me realize how fortunate i am.
not that i was fortunate to forget my belongings a place in the middle of nowhere an hour away from home, but that i am lucky enough to have a bible. you see, not only do i own that bible i lost, but i have another one sitting on my desk, as well as others around the house.
i am pretty sad that my bible and pens are far far away and that i might not be able to get them back, cause i need my pens for school (desperately) and the bible was given to me by someone special and significant in my life, spiritually and otherwise. but really, when i think about it, i believe that my heart is where my bible is.
okay, i might sound really ingenuine and fake right about now, not to mention cheesy, but i honestly really miss my bible. dunno if people reading this know (does anybody read this at all?) but i havent been doing my devotions from my devo book for a LONG time now. for some reason, the night i discovered my missing stuff, i took out my old bible and read from my devotions book for the first time in a really, really long time. deep down, i started to feel really... lost, i guess? maybe cause i was missing my bible. maybe cause i came to notice i havent been consistent. i dont know, somehow i just felt empty and sad.
so just today i emailed the camp and i am hoping they will find my bible and pens. then i dont know what i'll do. an hour drive up north is probably not what my parents are willing to do just to get my bible and pens. we'll see, but for now, i'm just gonna thank God for everything i have.

what happened to our accountability group?

challenge yourself: be thankful for what you have instead of worrying over what you don't have.

I read it! You know I read it! I leave comments, you know! =) How could yodel not read yodel's blog?!

Anyway, hope you hear about your bible/pens! But yes, I must say it is disappointing to hear that you haven't read from the devo book in a long time. I'm being brutally honest in saying that you need to really find time to do devos. If not, things will get much difficult in terms of spiritual life, and with you being co-chair, I know you need spiritual guidance. I hope you are able to pick it up again, and of course, if you need accountability, I am always there. You know that! =)

Thanks for leaving comments on my blog! We must talk some time soon, ok? Take care my dear yodel!
