we are such a materialistic culture. like the prodigal son, we will grab every opportunity to gain gain gain more. we're so greedy that we'll just take take take and then run run run. predictable, arent we? vicious cycle...
we'll take everything, but He'll take anything to get us back. we're so unworthy of grace and compassion. don't you just love the word compassion? like, in the passage in Luke, it says that the father "was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him".
God will run to us when we go back to Him, however we've wronged Him. i think that's the most beautiful thing you can ever know.
